The site plays an important role in the ongoing regeneration of Stretford, in line with the Stretford Masterplan.
The scheme, by Trafford Developments, comprises six two-bedroom apartments, ten two-bedroom terraces, 25 three-bedroom townhouses, and 12 four-bedroom townhouses. 25% of the homes will be affordable homes. Trafford Developments look forward to starting on site in 2026.
Parking spaces will be provided for all three- and four-bedroom townhouses, and there will be an additional dedicated car club space. All two-bedroom apartments and houses will be car-free, and all parking spaces will be equipped with electric vehicular charging points (EVCP).
The proposed scheme would provide:
53 dwellings comprising of:
6 x 2 bed apartments
10 x 2 bed houses
25 x 3 bed houses
12 x 4 bed houses
25% affordable homes provided on site;
provision of open space, including a new pedestrian and cycle route from Stretford Town Centre to the Bridgewater Canal, and enhanced landscaping along Edge Lane; and,
a total of 38 car parking spaces, including 1 car club space and 83 cycle parking spaces are to be provided. All car parking spaces will be equipped with electric vehicle charging points (‘EVCP’).
